We are happy to be able to announce that Rosendale Primary School has been selected to participate in this schools tennis initiative funded through the charity Give It Your Max.
Curriculum Time Coaching
Funding from the initiative will enable weekly tennis sessions to be run during school time as part of the regular school PE curriculum. The aim being that tennis becomes an integral part of school sport and leads to greater participation and awareness of the sport.
Subsidised Outside of School Coaching
The other key part of the initiative will provide subsidised places on the Lifetime Tennis program that runs out of Rosendale Playing Fields on a Friday (after school) and Sunday. At a cost of £3/week children can attend an age appropriate session using the correct equipment run by fully qualified LTA professional coaches. This project aims to make the sport of tennis truly accessible and this subsidised coaching will give many children the chance to learn new skills, develop confidence while gaining the health benefits associated with the sport.

4:45-5:30pm – 7-8 years
5:30-6:15pm – 9 + years
