Mini Reds (5-7 years). Lifetime Tennis Mini Reds Program is delivered on a 1/4 Court Red Court (18x6m) and low presure red balls. Our specialised teaching system uses Mini Reds Tennis equipment that creates the best environment for each player to progress according to their individual level of development. Our 8 & Under program helps players gain success in the following areas, Tennis Technique (learning correct swing shapes and movement), Cooperative Buddy Activities (learning control and teamwork) and Competition (Games based learning). Participants are given the chance to progress by: 1) Developing Physical skills e.g. copying a small controlled swing shape movement or copying a sidestepping footwork drill and 2) Developing Understanding e.g. learning why a small controlled swing is better then a big out of control swing or why it can be better at times to move sideways then forward. This approach is applied when learning all of the core elements and related skills for each tennis shot (Forehand, Backhand, Serve and Volley).
